Hyundai and Xevo Team Up with Chevron®, Applebee’s® and ParkWhiz to Showcase In-Car Payment at TU-Automotive Detroit

In-car payment proof of concept video debuts during TU-Automotive Detroit presentation

NOVI, Mich., June 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Today at TU-Automotive Detroit, Hyundai Motor America and Xevo, a leader in automotive experts software and smart user experiences for the automotive industry, showcased an in-vehicle payment concept that connects popular brands to Hyundai vehicles. With this connected car technology, Hyundai expects to be able to offer customers the ability to:

  • Find and pay for gas at participating Chevron®- and Texaco®-branded stations
  • Order and pay for Applebee’s® To Go
  • Find, reserve and pay for parking with ParkWhiz


Xevo’s partnership with Hyundai will also help develop the Hyundai Digital Wallet in-vehicle payment platform, which stores a customer’s payment information and facilitates secure processing, for a seamless checkout experience to enable in-car commerce.
