– Journeyware connected car platform enables seamless in-vehicle access to apps and mobile content
Xevo has partnered with luxury marque Lexus to provide Xevo’s Journeyware(TM) technology on its LC flagship coupe.
Journeyware technology complements the high-performance design of the Lexus LC by safely connecting Lexus drivers and their cars to mobile applications, content, and services, delivering a smarter, richer and more interactive in-car experience.
Both the LC 500 and LC 500h launched earlier this month to wide acclaim, with praise from both motoring and lifestyle media for the vehicles’ design, performance, interior, and technology features.
“We are honoured to partner with Lexus to enhance their luxury vehicles with connectivity systems of equal calibre,” said Dan Gittleman, CEO of Xevo. “Consumers demand seamless connectivity in their cars. Being able to easily integrate people’s digital lives into their vehicles gives manufacturers a key competitive advantage. Lexus drivers will now be able to safely and easily interact with their favourite mobile apps and services during their journeys.”
Enform App Suite
Enform App Suite is the multimedia system for luxury Lexus interactive vehicles. Powered by Xevo Journeyware, Lexus vehicles with the Enform App Suite system offer improved connectivity and entertainment. The Enform App Suite offers access to a selection of exclusive Lexus interactive apps such as Fuel Finder, Travel Times, Destination, Concierge, and Weather.
“Lexus is committed to delivering cutting-edge in-vehicle technology and connectivity to its customers,” said Peter McGregor, Chief Executive Officer, Lexus Australia. “Xevo’s innovative Journeyware solutions are a perfect fit for Lexus, with premier in-car connectivity that enhances our luxury vehicles. The LC is an enthusiast vehicle that delivers an amazing experience with exceptional quality and intuitive technology. Partnering with Xevo enables Lexus to ensure that these discerning drivers are just as thrilled with the software as they are the hardware.”
The Lexus LC coupe heralds a new, dynamic direction for the Japanese luxury marque. Showcasing exceptional levels of luxury, technology, and performance, the LC was first previewed by the LF-LC concept vehicle in 2012. It first appeared as a production model at the 2016 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, and achieved significant awards for its exterior and interior styling features. It launched locally with two variants: the LC 500, which features a high output 5.0-litre V8 engine and the LC 500h, which incorporates a next generation hybrid power unit known as the Multi Stage Hybrid System.
Xevo Journeyware technology will complement the high-performance design of the Lexus LC by connecting drivers to mobile applications, content, and services, allowing them to integrate their digital lifestyles and in-car user experience.
